In Locamotion
I am the founder, content creator, editor, and designer of In Locamotion (www.inlocamotion.com), a travel blog dedicated to the intersection of travel with sustainability and social justice. Founded in 2016, In Locamotion features impactful travel media that encourages mutually beneficial travel experiences for the traveler, host community, and planet, while educating on places, cultures, and political issues throughout the globe. In Locamotion is no longer active, though remains online as a permanent archive.
The Sustainability Laboratory
The Sustainability Laboratory is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing a transformative, global sustainability agenda through research, development, and educational programs. From 2018-2022, I served as the Director, Program Operations of The Sustainability Laboratory. In this role, I developed and managed programs, managed fundraising and communications, and oversaw all administrative functions of the organization.
RISE Travel Institute
RISE Travel Institute is a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring responsible, impactful, sustainable, and ethical travel through education. As a Senior Advisor to the RISE Travel Institute, I developed and taught the course Understanding Sustainability and Sustainable Travel: Beyond the Environmental-Social-Economic Approach. This course provides a broad introduction to the concepts of sustainability and sustainable travel, and is the first in a series of 10 video lessons in the RISE flagship educational program.
